A Hot Shower

Moving is exhausting and after all the cleaning and packing and hauling stuff I just felt yucky. He hot shower I took afterwards was just about the best shower ever.

Father Saunders

So Husband and I were overwhelmed with packing and moving and had no energy for a home improvement project that came up. No worries! Here comes Father to save the day! He arrived with tools and lists and expertise and general Dad awesomeness.

Splinter Getter

Today I got a splinter. Which sucked. But Husband swooped in and removed the dreaded thing. And I thought about it and realized I've always been lucky enough to have someone around to remove my splinters. It's a nice realization. :)

Lego Spacecraft

I got Husband Legos for Christmas and he LOVES them! :D It makes me so happy to make him happy.

Silver Nutcrackers

So, since we've had our Dangerbutt, I have wanted a family photo. All of us were sitting around the living room at my parent's house just relaxing when my sister snapped this pic of us. I got a family photo!!!!! Best Christmas gift ever! :)

We opened stockings this morning and Husband gave me the cutest penguin Christmas countdown nutcracker. I love him!! :)

Sunday Morning Pancakes

Husband and I used to have regular Sunday morning pancake breakfast, but fell out of the habit lately. Today we brought it back and it was delicious!

Sicky Husband

So, I am NOT a big meanie and I don't enjoy when Husband is sick! My poor Husband caught a winter cold that had been circulating. But taking care of him makes me happy. I was able to get him food and make him tea and a taken care of Husband is a good thing. :)

Almost Santa Pics

So, my lil sis and I have been trying to take free pictures with Santa for the past two years. This year we decided to try again. We got dolled up in our scarves but we still unsucessful this year. But we got to hang out and it was so fun! :)

Being Productive

I am a bit of an overachiever, so I get more than the normal feeling of satisfaction when I am productive. And today, I was quite productive. :)

New First Editions

So, I was out today and I stumbled across two Black Stallion books that I don't own. AND they were first editions. You would not believe how fast I bought those bad boys up and took them home with me.

Lunch Break

Today I was so crazy productive. And since I currently 'work from home' I was able to take my lunch break at 5 pm. Now that is freedom!

Naturally Beautiful

So, today Husband was telling me how pretty and cute I am. And guess what?! I had on no make up! :D Fucking awesome thing!!

Pajama Day

Today I spent all day in my pajamas. So much of a good thing. :)

New Film Style

Today I got to see the new 48 frames per second filming technique. It looked weird and I had to watch The Hobbit to see it, but it's always cool to experience something new.

Choir Recital

Today my fam went to my baby sister's Christmas choir concert. And she was amazing.

Surprise Present

My Husband spoiled me today with the nerdily awesome Big Bang Theory. Luckiest. Wifey. Ever. :)

Sister Date

I was able to snag a quick sister date on my lil sis' lunch break!!! :) Hurray for soda, chai, shopping talk and chit chat.

11 O'clock Freak Out

Haha. So Puppers is completely weird. He lays around the house all day and does nothing, even when we try to get him to play. But suddenly 10:30, 11:00 at night rolls around and he is a whirlwind of energy. Like, continuously-leaping-4-feet-in-the-air energy. It's mysterious and awesome.

Christmas Cookies

Today we made and decorated Christmas sugar cookies. Yum yum!

The Whole Day

Today has been amazing! My good thing is all of today. Grown up cocoa, wrapping Christmas presents, Food Network tv, beer games, lobster tacos, and last but certainly not least, an impromptu Guitar Hero battle with Husband!!  :) Yay today!

Temple Christmas Lights

My family loves to go to the temple at Christmas time to see the light display. Also, to see the nativities from around the world which are so cool.

Family Trip

This evening we both took Puppers to the grass area, what I like to call a family trip, and it's one of my favorite things ever! :)

Rock Paper Beer

Husband is a beer lover. While I personally will never get it (beer tastes gross), I do love Session beers because they come with a game! Each cap has a rock, paper or scissors image and once he's had at least two beers, we have a game! So fun!

Icy Cold Coke

I waited 30 minutes in line at the deli, 20 minutes at the pharmacy and 10 minutes to pick up Husband. But an ice cold Coca Cola makes the whole day awesome.

Handmade Ham Croissant

My favorite morning meal is a ham and cheese croissant and today one was handmade and husband delivered. Best. Breakfast. Ever.

Snuggling With Letters

Tonight I am snuggled under my warm, cushy and fun letter comforter. It's the standby blanket in my library, but every once in a while it sneaks out to the couch for movie time. Because this blanket is definitely a good thing.

My Husband

Today was completely amazing, thanks to my completely awesome Husband!! :) There was a delicious lunch, a new book (signed by the author!!), a trip to the movies, grown up hot cocoa, tree decorating and Christmas fun. So very many good things, thanks to the best guy ever!!!

A New View

Today I biked to the library. 8 miles round trip. I felt like such a bad ass. A new view I got on my ride today.

Sassy Fun Hair

Today I recolored my hair so it is vibrantly orange again!

Snowman Crafts

I love giving ornaments as the nametags on presents because it's like giving two gifts at once. This year I decided to make snowman ornaments while watching Elf and cuddling with my Dangerbutt. :) Yay Christmas time!

Walk Time

Today Puppers and I went for an extra long walk. Excerise + bonding time = a very good thing. :)

Squeaky Toy

My Puppers loves attention and toys and playtime. Now, Husband doesn't particularly like squeaky toys because, let's face it, they can be a bit annoying. But sometimes they are a very good thing. Puppers can entertain himself and be happy, and his girl grownup can still get things done. Win-win.

The Stockings Were Hung

....by the chimney with care. Well, on the wall. Near the fireplace. But closer to the TV. But wherever they are, they are fun and getting me in the holiday spirit! :)

Christmas Shrubbery

My family decided that this year we were going to cut down Christmas trees ourselves. We were envisoning hot cocoa and mittens and a forest full of towering pine. Meaning, we completely forgot for a moment we live in the American Southwest. Day of, it was 70 degrees and we had to find the most 'tree-like' of all the shrubbery. But the day was fun and full of unexpected surprises and lots of fun. So here I am with bones of some kind. Like I said, unexpected. Haha. A memento of our Christmas shrubbery adventure!

Black Beauty

So, I have a weird addiction to Black Beauty books. Any time I see a new one, I want to adopt it and bring it home to my beautiful library. I found this one today and it's no exception. I haven't gotten it yet, but just seeing a new Black Beauty book made me quite happy.  :)

Being Thankful

Since today is Thanksgiving, I am going to put ALL my good things on my list. Some days it is hard to choose just one, but today I am going to share them all. Because I am grateful for each and every one.

Watching the Macy's Day parade for the first time. Ever. Husband thought me watching it for the first time was hilarious, but I really truly didn't know the floats stopped. And so many people sang. I think I will have to watch this again sometime. ;) 

 

Delicious homemade turkey and cranberries and sweet potatoes and corn and green beans and apple pie and salad and carrots and sparkling apple cider. And each yummy bite eaten with loved ones. <3

Rock Show

Tonight Husband and I went to a rock show and it was kick ass. Great band, good people and fun music.

Backyard Gardening

Or....beating the crap out of this monstrous plant I hate. It's always dropping leaves everywhere, bugs love to hid in it, and the branches are dangerously thorned. But today I worked outside in the beautiful day, enjoyed a refreshing beverage, and pummeled it into submission. And me winning is a good thing. :)

Batman Cartoons

Today was a little bit of a rough day. But luckily Batman is up for any challenge and my bad day was finally defeated. Thanks Caped Crusader! ;)

Foot Rub

So I am the most spoiled wife ever. Tonight Husband gave me a foot rub and it was awesome. Not only a good thing, one of the best things ever!! :)

Tamale Breakfast

Spontaneous Movie Date

Husband is amazing and this morning he took me out for an impromptu Friday morning movie date. We saw the new Bond and it was kick ass! So much awesomeness today!

Chai Tea Latte

Today I enjoyed our cool weather with a hot chai tea latte. Deliciousness in a fun winter cup! :)
