Husband New Shoes

Husband has been looking for just the right pair of new shoes for almost a week and we had almost given up hope. But today we decided to try looking one more time and, lo and behold, there they were. The perfect pair of shoes! (They matter to men too!)

 

Escalator Cuddles

Husband cuddled me on the escalator today. Such a perfect little moment ;)

Adorable Lap Desk

I have been needing a lap desk ever since I got my new laptop. After quite a bit of looking I was surprised at how difficult it was to find what I wanted. But today, the perfect lap desk was before me!! It has polka dots :)

Short Story Submission

The other night (well, technically morning since it was 2 am...) I wrote a short story and today I submitted it for publication. Fingers crossed! ;)

Mushroom Adventure

We went out to dinner with Mother-in-law tonight at this mushroom bar. I am completely ambivalent about mushrooms; I literally could take them or leave them and it would be the same. Until today that is. These mushrooms were am-a-zing! The one they call 'Angry Shrimp' was the best. Quite the adventure!

Lego Batman Game

We had a gift card to use and Husband got me Lego Batman!!!!! Awesome! He also said he'd play with me every once in a while. :) 



Floating Jenga

We exchanged a few gifts we were never ever gonna use and had to find something else in a gameshop to take home instead. The salesboy showed us this and we are addicted. It's like jenga, but suspended in the air. Also, it looks cool and sculptural. :)

 

Rainy Day

 It has been raining all night and all day and all night. It's a nice change.

 

Lunch Date

 Husband and I went out to a new little place for a lunch date. It wasn't the best Chinese ever, but it was fun to try somewhere new and we got a hilariously empty fortune cookie.

 

Healthy Eating

I enjoyed some greek yogurt and orange juice as part of my 'be healthier' goal. Yummy + good for me = good thing. :)

Homemade Muffins

 Mother-in-law made Husband and I blueberry muffins. And they are delicious. :)

 

Pancake Breakfast

 Homemade, Husband-made fluffy delicious pancakes. Best way to start a Sunday. :)

 

Retro Car Chase

My sister and I went to go see Gangster Squad. It was awesome. Just awesome. Plus, it had a retro car chase with guys leaning out the window with their machine guns. Classic!

Puppy Eyes

I just love his face. :) These adorable brown eyes get me every time. Yes, Puppers, I DO want to play with you now.

So Husband and I are big Star Wars fans (original triology only, thanks) and I love love signed books. Along comes a signing by Timothy Zahn, Star Wars author. Perfect! They even had stormtroopers! :)

A Little Exercise

I went on the treadmill today. For more than 2 minutes! Whoo! Look at me go! Haha.

Temporary Workspace

So despite the fact that Mike and I are still unsettled and in the process of half-moving, I still have editing work to do. And let me tell you, it is difficult without a workspace. So today I made one. Ta-da!

My New Mouse

Today Husband spoiled me and bought me a new wireless mouse for my new laptop! (I accidentally threw my old mouse away...oops!) It was the last one with a super cute design!

My Positive Energy

So today was a bit tough. Not for one big reason; just for a lot of little ones. But then I realized that I just wasn't looking at the day in the right light. I am very blessed and sometimes I just need to turn my frown upside down. So I did, thanks to my positive energy.

A New Path

Today I drove by my old place of employment - a place I am happy to say I do not miss. I had not been out this way in quite sometime and it allowed me reflect on where I am now and where I am headed. I won't lie, I'm a little overwhelmed and scared right now (because I really REALLY suck at change). But I do know I would rather be scared on a new path then stagnant on an old one.
